Sarah Hart - Emily Osment would be appropriate for this role. There are obvious physical similarities; both have blonde hair and blue eyes. Sarah is very kind and bubbly, and Osment seems to portray that in both interviews as well as her role in Hannah Montana. Osment seems like Sarah in nonfiction form.
Henri - Ben Stiller is the appropriate age to play this part. He has also played serious roles. Henri is mostly a serious person who is focused on keeping John safe. He is also intent on training John to protect himself. Henri is also very kind and fatherly and Stiller has played fatherly roles as well.
Sam Goode - To say the least, Michael Cera is awkward. San is also on the shy, awkward and nerdy side, and Cera portrays this well. Not much is said about Sam's physical appearance but I think Cera embodies Sam's described lankiness.
Mark James - From Tom Felton's infamous portrayal of Draco Malfoy, everybody knows that Felton is the perfect bully. Mark James relies more on brute force than biting sarcastic remarks, unlike Malfoy, but Felton is well built. Felton also played a bully that used more force in The Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Because of this, I think Felton would embody Mark James well.
