This is what I imagine Lorien to look like before and after the Mogadorians came. Lorien is described as a planet, ten times smaller than Earth, with plenty of natural resources. Many animals and other organisms thrived. The Mogadorians arrived to take over Lorien's resources, as their planet, Mogadore, had run out. A war happened and all of the remaining Lorien inhabitants were killed. The Mogadorians took over the planet and used up all the resources once again, creating a barren wasteland with no signs of life. This is why the Mogadorians seek to take over Earth - to use Earth's resources as they have, again, ran out.
